SEOUL, Sept.22 (Yonhap) -- "Appointment parade of Chungcheong soldiers by Admiral Yi Sun-shin" will be taking place at Haemieupseong on Saturday, announced Seosan City and Haemieupseong History preservation society on Thursday.

This event is a festival-type content that tells the story of Admiral Yi Sun-sin, a military officer who served for 10 months at Haemieupseong, which was a barracks fortress in Chungcheong during the Joseon Dynasty, through a parade and reception performance.

Ahead of the 19th Seosan Haemieupseong Festival to commemorate the 600th anniversary of the consecration , It will be held in three years after the spread of COVID-19.

200 people such as residents of Haemi-meyon, 20th Fighter Wing, and regional Art center members will participate in the parade as soldiers.

Once parade starts at 1 p.m. at Haemi-myeon welfare center, passes Haemi market, and arrives at Jinnammun, there will be welcoming performance, such as sa-ja-nol-ee and pungmul by Admiral Yi Sun-shin military.

After the parade, Saturday show "Ya-dan-bub-seok Shin-myung-nal-jae" will be performed at lawn inside the town castle.

Along with tightrope walking performance, various performances such as Park Seon-woong's Naepoje Sijo-Chang, Gayageum Byeongchang, Taepyeongmu, and Haemi Nongak will be performed.
