SEOUL, July 4 (Yonhap) -- The Music Concert Industry Association of Korea (MCIAK) announced Friday that it will hold an anti-scalping campaign at the site of BLACKPINK’s upcoming world tour "DEADLINE," scheduled for June 5–6 at Goyang Sports Complex Main Stadium in Gyeonggi Province.

Organized in cooperation with the Korea Creative Content Agency, the campaign aims to raise awareness of the harms of scalping and promote fair ticketing practices through interactive activities.

On-site events will include a quiz on scalping issues, with correct answers earning participants specially designed stickers. Attendees who create anti-scalping slogans and post them on social media will be entered into a prize draw. Free legal consultations on ticket fraud and an online scalping reporting center will also be available.

MCIAK added that the campaign will also address the issue of "music chart manipulation," stating, "We aim to shed light on the organized manipulation of streaming charts, which distorts consumer behavior and robs rookie artists of opportunities, and to advocate for a fair and transparent music market."

MCIAK is a registered non-profit organization under the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, comprised of more than 40 concert and event organizers of K-pop concerts, festivals, world tours, and foreign artist performances.
