SEOUL, July 15 (Yonhap) -- Veteran actor Lee Soon-jae will star in a tribute production of the iconic play Waiting for Godot, the production firm announced on the 15th.
According to performance planning company Park Company, Lee Soon-jae has been cast in the role of Esther in the upcoming play Waiting for Waiting for Godot, set to open at Yes24 Stage 3 in Jongno, Seoul, on September 7th.
Waiting for Waiting for Godot is a play set in the dressing room of Waiting for Godot, focusing on the characters Esther and Val, who are understudies for the main roles of Estragon and Vladimir. Written by American actor and playwright Dave Hanson, the play is praised for its humorous and accessible approach to the abstract and ambiguous themes of the original Waiting for Godot, offering a delightful exploration of its meaning and depth.
