SEOUL, June 18 (Yonhap) -- The Korean action comedy "The Roundup” starring Ma Dong-seok has surpassed 11 million viewers on the 31st day of its release.
The detective action flick garnered 118,000 audiences on June 17, topping 11,027,835 in cumulative attendance, according to data from the Korean Film Council on Saturday.
“The Roundup” continued to show its popularity by ranking second in the daily box office following “The Witch: Part 2. The Other One,” which was released on June 15, until Friday, the 31st day of its release.
It also beat Marvel’s hero movie "Avengers: Age of Ultron"(14,494,499 people) and ranked 24th on the all time box office.
Moreover, the movie ranked No. 3(16.1 percent) in the real time ticket sales on June 19 at 8 a.m., and is expected to exceed “Silmido”(11,081,000 people), which ranks No. 23 in the all time box office.
