SEOUL, Nov. 4 (Yonhap) -- Boy band TO1 will return to their fans with a new album “RE:ALIZE” Thursday after 6 months of debut with their 1st mini-album “RE:BORN.”
Yonhap News talked with the band in their practice room in their agency “WAKEONE” building on the 3rd.
“We wondered a lot with the album thinking of what new side we can show. We are proud of the work we have done,” said the boys.
Including the hip-hop dance title song “No More X,” the album consists of 8 songs such as “In My Light” and “Prayer.” One of the side tracks, “Mirage,” is their special song for the fans.
“The title song contains our ambition to get rid of the unknown obstacles in front of us and to proceed. We put in extra care to approach more listeners with the album,” explained J.You.
“We even included a genre we have never tried to show a wider range of our music,” said Zerome.
The band debuted as TOO in April 2020 through “To Be World Klass,” an Mnet audition program in 2019. But due to a problem with the management agency, they changed their name to TO1 and reborn on April 1st 2021.
“It would be a lie to say that our previous 10 months of break was not a hard time. We practiced everyday together not to loosen up. Our teamwork grew stronger as we poured our feelings with each other,” said Chan.
“We want to work harder to grow from a “rising 4th generation idol” into a representative 4th generation idol group,” said Zerome.
“Now that we have started, we aim for the Billboard chart,” said Chan.
