SEOUL, Feb. 18 (Yonhap) -- SM Entertainment announced on Tuesday that it is joining forces with SAMG Entertainment, the company behind the popular Korean animated series "Catch! Teenieping," to launch collaborative content.
SM said it signed a strategic business agreement with SAMG Entertainment the previous day at its headquarters in Seongsu-dong, Seoul.

The agreement aims to expand their global content business through a long-term project. Attending the signing ceremony were SM Co-CEO Tak Young-jun and SAMG Entertainment CEO Kim Soo-hoon.
SM stated, "Through this partnership, we will present a new paradigm of innovation by integrating K-pop with character IP (intellectual property) through collaborative content featuring SM artists and SAMG’s 3D animation characters."
The first project will feature a collaboration between the Catch! Teenieping IP and SM’s new girl group Hearts2Hearts, set to debut on Feb. 24. The companies plan to introduce various forms of collaborative content and merchandise in the future.
SM and SAMG Entertainment also aim to expand their collaboration and merchandise into global markets, including Southeast Asia, China, and Japan.
