Yuju from GFriend starts as solo singer with 'REC'

SEOUL, Jan. 3 (Yonhap) -- Yuju from girl group GFriend, will debut as a solo singer with the release of the album 'REC' on the 18th, her agency KONNECT Entertainment announced on Monday.

It is the first comeback in about a year and two months since GFRIEND's activities.

The agency said, "It is an album that will surprise Yuju's musical ability," adding, "We can expect her meaningful start as a solo singer."

Yuju, who debuted in 2015, received attention from GFRIEND for her outstanding singing ability as the main vocalist.

After last year's team activities, she joined KONNECT Entertainment led by singer Kang Daniel.
