SEOUL, Oct. 19 (Yonhap) -- The first Seomjingang Film Festival with the theme of "Pure Seomjingang River, Nature, Lifem and People" will be held in Sunchang, North Jeolla province for three days from Oct.21
The opening ceremony, which will take place at the outdoor stage of the Hyangto center in Sunchang county from 6:30 p.m., will have a congratulatory stage, opening declaration, appointment ceremony of the organizing committee, and screening of the opening films "Sansoogapsan" and "6/45."
The opening ceremony will be hosted by actor Lee Moon-sik from Sunchang and independent film actress Kim Hye-na.
Film director Bae Chang-ho, former executive director of Jeonju International Film Festival Min Byung-rok, vice-executive director of the Korea China International Film Festival Geum-seong Bae, president of the Jeonbuk Film Research Association Jang Se-kyun, and actors Kim Hyun-kyun, Song Boo-gun, Jo Woon, and Kim Young-jun will attend as guests.
The festival's organizing Committee director Baek Hak-gi said, "You will be able to see films that show harmony between nature, film, and people and that goes even deeper into inner side at the Seomjingang Film Festival."
The Seomjingang Film Festival will hold Lee Moon-sik's cinema talk, family healing cinema, movie screenings, live performance of movie's OST, and Youth Theater.
