SEOUL, March 31 (Yonhap) -- The Old Korean Legation Museum, located in the Washington D.C, United States will reopen on the 1st of next month.
The legation was closed to the public in the March of 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
This legation operated from 1889 to 1905 when Japan took over Korea's government. It is also the time which the Korean Empire emerged followed by the Joseon Kingdom. Later, the property was sold to the South Korean government's organization including the Cultural Heritage Administration in 2013, and was renovated before it was open to the public as the Old Korean Legation Museum in the May of 2018.
