SEOUL, June 25 (Yonhap) -- DAY6 has gifted a special moment to a young fan battling an incurable disease.

According to JYP Entertainment on the 25th, DAY6 recently met with seven-year-old Lee Geon-woo, who is suffering from acute lymphoblastic leukemia, and held a mini concert for him, along with presenting him with musical instruments.

Since 2019, JYP has been continuing the 'EDM' (Every Dream Matters!) project in collaboration with Make-A-Wish Korea to provide emotional support to children with incurable diseases. Lee Geon-woo, known as a fan of DAY6, had been unable to attend concerts due to a weakened immune system during his treatment last year, prompting him to share his story with Make-A-Wish Korea.

DAY6, upon hearing of Lee's wish to meet them, responded by organizing a mini concert where they performed his favorite songs. They also spent time with him, teaching him about musical instruments, as Lee had shown a keen interest in learning to play. Member Wonpil gifted Lee an instrument so he could continue practicing the keyboard.

Lee expressed his gratitude, saying, "Spending time with the DAY6 hyungs, whom I've always wanted to meet, was as wonderful as the universe. Thank you for the piano I've always wanted. I'll practice hard to become as cool as the hyungs."

DAY6 members said, "We hope that the time spent with us will remain a good memory for Lee Geon-woo when he looks back in the future. We wish for him to grow up cheerful and innocent, and we hope to meet him again at our concert when he is healthy."

DAY6 held a solo concert at Jamsil Indoor Gymnasium in April and met with fans at their official fan meeting 'I Need My Day' at the same venue in June.
