SEOUL November 17 (Yonhap) -- K-pop boy group Omega X revealed additional accusations regarding their agencies verbal physical abuse from their entertainment agency on November 16, and filed claims against it.
Members of Omega X participated in a press conference held at the Lawyers Hall located in Seocho district, Seoul and addressed their intention of filing a lawsuit against the former representative of Spire Entertainment and those who accountable for such actions.
According to the members of Omega X, verbal and physical abuse of the members started off in November of 2021, and continued on for a year.
“By using the title representative, former representative made use drink, she made sexual harassment remarks, held hands with us, rubbed our thighs and more throughout the period.” addressed Jaehan, the leader of Omega X throughout the press conference.
Continuing on Jaehan stated, “Former representative would yell ’If you guys want to continue on with your career as Omega X, you better know your place,’ ‘I am going to kill you’ and more, due to those extreme measurements former representative was willing to take, some of the members including I had to seek for therapy.”
Jaehyun from Omega X stated “There were some times when all of the members showcased symptoms of anxiety and panic disorder, and I also am currently seeing a doctor as well,” adding “Members get easily frightened from a high pitched female voice, that is how anxious we all are at the moment.”
Legal representative of Omega X, lawyer No Jong-uhn addressed “We have submitted provisional disposition for suspension of validity regarding Omega X’s contract, and furthermore we are planning on filing criminal complaints and more continuously.” Moreover, lawyer addressed that Omega X will file a lawsuit regarding physical abuse, sexual abuse and more in the near future.
Omega X addressed that they have successfully collected all the photographic and video graphic evidence to back their claims against former representative.
In October, Omega X was drawn into a rumor online, that they are being verbally abused by a woman who is seems to be the former representative of the agency.
When the rumor surfaced the agency, set out an announcement disclosing that after one of the shows from the tour members and the representative were talking about things to improve on the next show, however things escalated quickly with emotions and that is when the video was shot, however, the impact of the rumor did not die down, therefore the representative of the agency resigned.
K-pop boy group Omega X debuted with their first mini album “Vamos” in June of 2021, however all 11 of the members have experience in being part of different boy group therefore the group received a nickname of “Redebutdol.”
However, according to the Spire Entertainment, they are currently under the process of clearing one’s stance.
