SEOUL, March 11 (Yonhap) -- The police are investigating the specific cause of death of singer Wheesung, 43.
The Gwangjin Police Station in Seoul announced on Tuesday that they would request an autopsy from the National Forensic Service to determine the exact cause and time of death.
Wheesung was found in a state of cardiac arrest at an apartment in Gwangjin-gu at 6:29 p.m. the previous day and was pronounced dead. Emergency responders were reportedly alerted by his mother.
So far, police have found no signs of foul play or external intrusion, and they are investigating the presence of a suicide note.
Wheesung was scheduled to hold a joint ballad concert with fellow singer KCM on the 15th at the Daegu EXCO Auditorium.
Wheesung's agency, Tazo Entertainment, stated, "Due to the sudden sad news, the family is deeply shocked and grieving, and they are unable to proceed with the funeral arrangements at this time. The family will hold the funeral quietly, with only close relatives and friends in attendance, once they have found some peace."
