SEOUL, July 26 (Yonhap) -- To commemorate the 20th anniversary of its opening, the Chuncheon National Museum has created an immersive video theater and is releasing "1802, The Door Opens," a content that reproduces the living space of the King and Queen of the Joseon Dynasty.
It is difficult to find official records of the royal family's sleeping or are of rest, as it is not open to the public.
Accordingly, the museum composed the video contents based on the record of the repair process of Daejojeon in Changdeokgung, which was used a place to rest in 1802 ahead of the wedding ceremony between King Sunjo and Queen Sunwon.
According to records, it is estimated that the interior of Daejojeon was lavishly decorated with various folding screens, paintings and mirrors, such as "Guchubongdo" and "Maejukdo." The museum vividly reproduces it in 3D images.
Related contents can be viewed from July 26 till October 3.
