The Music Awards Japan is a newly launched ceremony this year, organized through collaboration between five major Japanese music industry organizations and government agencies, including the Recording Industry Association of Japan. Winners were selected based on data from Billboard Japan, Oricon, and votes from industry professionals.

The ceremony, which began on May 21 at Kyoto’s ROHM Theatre, will present major categories such as "Song of the Year" during its May 22 program.

Rose’s "APT." is nominated for "Song of the Year," while aespa’s "Supernova" and virtual idol PLAVE’s "WAY 4 LUV" are nominated in the "Best Song Asia" category.
