SEOUL October 14 (Yonhap) -- Surrounding roads of Busan Asiad Main Stadium where the K-pop superstar BTS’ concert in Busan in hope to host 2030 Busan World Expo has been decorated with purple lights, also known as “Bora Road.”
The roads will be enlightened with purple lightings which symbolize BTS, at night to showcase a magnificent view.
Busan City government addressed on Friday that they have be posted 600 of the purple lights within the parameter of 1km around the Busan Asiad Main Stadium, the lights will be on from 6:05 p.m. until 6:00 a.m starting on October 13 up until October 17.
Purpose of the event is for the fans of BTS to remember the road Illuminated in purple to be the “BTS Road” just like how the Legendary English band Beatles’ “Abbey Road” to be a symbolic spot for fans of Beatles.
Moreover, Busan city government has specifically picked number 600 to showcase their hope of hosting the world expo, because 20 times 30 which are the numbers from “2030 Busan World Expo” comes down to 600 when multiplied together.
The city government will also post up five of the purple light fixtures, at the Hwangnyeong mountain.
Continuing on with the theme of Buan’s hope to host “2030 Busan World Expo” they have decided to place 5 of the light fixtures, which are the sum of 2 numbers, 2 and 3.
The major of Busan Park Heong-joon addressed “When the BTS’ concert at the Busan Asiad Main Stadium ends, we plan to name the surrounding road of the stadium as ‘BTS X 2030 Busan Expo Road’ and host numerous celebratory events.”
On October 14 and 15, Busan City Government will post up an event booth at the Northern port of Busan which will be live streaming the Asiad Main Stadium, where they will provide promotional events such as “Expo Quiz,” “Promotion character Boogi” and more.
Moreover, the government will print out global version of newspapers including various tourist spots in Busan for foreign fans of BTS. Newspaper will be provided in both English and Japanese. Also fans will be provided with clappers to be used at the stadium during the BTS concert.
