On the first episode season 2 takes place three years after the end of season 1 where it showcases character Jang-Uk acted by Lee Jae-wook shifting the overall atmosphere to dark.

Although Jang-Uk is capable to fight off soul shifters however Jung-in who killed him previously works as a trigger point which hurts his heart.

Jang-Uk who roams around the town as a “monster hunting monster” and as a coincident he meets Go Yoon-jung who has no recollection of her past memories but has an identical look to Nak-su. They both find odd connection between one another and become close to one another.

Later on throughout the episode, the identity of the mysterious woman was reviled surprising the audience.

“Alchemy of Souls, Season 2” showcased solid plot line using very contrasting character from the one appeared in season 1. Scenic change it happened within 3 years within the series was also interesting factor for viewers.

Actress Go Yoon-jung who has replaced the role of Jung So-min managed to fit right into the character of mysterious woman. However since its very early into the season some critics addressed, concepts and lines exchanged by some of the characters look bit off the overall theme of the series.
