SEOUL, May 30 (Yonhap) -- BLACKSWAN successfully held a solo concert last weekend in Uzbekistan, meeting with an audience of around 10,000, according to their agency DR Music on Friday.
Held Sunday (local time) at the HUMO ARENA in Tashkent, the event marked BLACKSWAN’s first solo concert in Central Asia. DR Music noted that they are also the first K-pop act to perform at HUMO ARENA.
To commemorate the concert, BLACKSWAN advertisements were placed throughout Tashkent, including at the airport arrivals area, in the city center, and on the subway.
The group performed a variety of songs, including their representative tracks "Roll Up" and "Karma," as well as their new release "I Like It Hot."
Members Fatou and Sriya formed a dance unit, while NVee and Gabi created a vocal unit—both stages received favorable reviews. Before the concert, the members also served as judges in a local dance competition.
BLACKSWAN said, "It was touching to experience Uzbekistan’s culture and the passion of the fans firsthand. We definitely want to come back."
BLACKSWAN is a four-member K-pop girl group composed entirely of non-Korean members. They are scheduled to perform in the United States and Germany and plan to release a new album later this year.
