BTS releases new song ‘The Planet’ in 11 months

SEOUL, May 12 (Yonhap) -- The group BTS will release its new song "The Planet" at 1 p.m. on Friday, its agency Bighit Music said.

 

"The Planet" is the theme song of the SBS animation "Bastions." It is the first time in 11 months that BTS releases a new song as a whole since "Yet To Come" in June last year.

 

Bighit Music said, "’The Planet’ consists of a cheerful base and a pleasant melody full of hope," adding, "Refreshing vocals of the BTS members stand out."

 

The lyrics of this song contain a message that emphasizes the importance of the Earth where we live.

 

"Bastions" tells the story of a rookie in the hero world who identifies the villain who is the main culprit of environmental destruction and saves the Earth.
