Script version of 'Extraordinary Attorney Woo' tops art segment at bookstores

SEOUL September 23 (Yonhap) -- Written script version of the South Korean hit drama “Extraordinary Attorney Woo” topped art segment within the bookstore.

According to the data collected on Friday by the largest bookstore chain in South Korean Kybo Book Centre regarding the bestselling books within the third week of September, the script version of “Extraordinary Attorney Woo” topped within the art section whereas sixth in the overall sale.

Out of those who have purchased the script version of the “Extraordinary Attorney Woo” 76 percent of the buyers were female readers whereas 23.7 percent were male readers. Moreover 27.8 percent of buyers were in their 30s, 26.2 percent were in their 40s and 26.1 percent were in their 20s.

Novelist Kim Hoon’s novel “Harbin” safely guarded its place on top of the overall chart ever since it was published seven weeks ago.

Novel “Father’s liberation diary” by writer Jeong Ji-a which Ryu Si-min, the former chairman of Rohmoohyun Foundation recommended placed 15th on the chart which is 57 steps above its previous ranking. Despite of gender ratio of novel readers are dominated by females in their 30s and 40s, out of those who purchased “Father’s liberation diary” highest age segment who purchased the novel were males in their 50s, according to the data 20.9 percent of the total buyers were males in their 50s.
