SEOUL, March 24 (Yonhap) -- The8 of Seventeen will perform as a headliner at the “Mido Music Festival,” set to take place May 1-2 in Nanjing, Jiangsu Province, his agency said Tuesday.

According to Pledis Entertainment, the festival—now in its 15th edition—is one of China’s major music events. It was held twice last year, in June and October, drawing more than 80,000 and 60,000 attendees, respectively.

The8, a Chinese member of Seventeen, also headlined the “YJ Music Festival” held in Beijing in September last year, where he showcased performances in singing, dancing and DJing.

He is currently preparing a new unit with fellow Seventeen member Vernon, aiming to release an album in June.
