BLACKPINK's 'Pink Venom' Music Video Hits 900 Million Views, 11th Time in Their Career

SEOUL, Oct. 15 (Yonhap) -- The music video for "Pink Venom," a pre-release track from BLACKPINK's second full-length album, has surpassed 900 million views on YouTube, their agency, YG Entertainment, announced on the 15th. 

 

The video reached this milestone around 2:57 a.m. that day, approximately 2 years and 2 months since its release in August 2022, marking BLACKPINK's 11th video to achieve over 900 million views.

 

"Pink Venom" is a hip-hop track that showcases BLACKPINK's signature charisma. The song combines a powerful beat with traditional Korean instrument sounds, creating a captivating auditory experience, while its energetic rap and vocal delivery further enhance its appeal.

 

Upon its release, the "Pink Venom" music video set a global record for the most views in 24 hours by a female artist on YouTube, amassing 90.4 million views. It also became the fastest K-pop girl group video to reach 100 million views in 29 hours and 35 minutes, and 200 million views in just over 7 days.

 

Following its release, "Pink Venom" topped the Billboard Global 200 chart for two consecutive weeks and the Billboard Global (excluding the U.S.) chart for three weeks. It also ranked 22nd on both the Billboard Hot 100 and the UK Official Singles Chart Top 100.

 

BLACKPINK's official YouTube channel has over 94.9 million subscribers, the highest number among artists worldwide. The group boasts 47 videos with over 100 million views.
