SEOUL, Mar. 10 (Yonhap) -- The K-pop superstar BTS has set another personal record by raking in four gold medals, including Best Asian Artist, at the 37th Japan Golden Disc Awards, the septet’s agency BigHit Music confirmed Friday.

The red-hot chart supremo snagged a total of four awards this year: in addition to winning the Best Asian Artist Award for the fifth year in a row, the chart supremo also won Song of the Year by Download (Asia), Music Video of the Year (Asia), and one of the Best 3 Albums (Asia).

The group also won the title of the very first artist to win the Best Asian Artist Award for five consecutive years.

During their acceptance speech, the seven-piece act said, “We would like to give thanks to Army (fandom) who always give us lots of love. We have won this honorable award thanks to you,” adding, “We sincerely thank everyone who listens to our music and above all, our fans Army.”

In the meantime, BTS’ Jungkook also won Song of the Year by Streaming (Western) for “Left and Right,” in which the multi-faceted member collaborated with American singer-songwriter Charlie Puth.
