SEOUL, May 21 (Yonhap) -- Singer Yoon Min-soo is set to divorce after 18 years of marriage.
On the 21st, Yoon Min-soo's wife, identified as A, announced on Yoon's social media account, "Yoon Hoo's father and I met when we were young and got married. We have been through difficult times and happy times together, always striving to maintain our family relationship. However, we have decided to end it here as it has become too difficult for both of us."
She continued, "We will continue to support each other with mutual trust and faith and do our best as Hoo's parents. Please refrain from making assumptions and speculations."
Regarding the matter, a representative from Yoon Min-soo's agency stated to Yonhap News, "We cannot confirm anything as it pertains to the artist's private life."
Yoon Min-soo married his non-celebrity wife in 2006, and they have a son, Yoon Hoo. Yoon Min-soo and Yoon Hoo garnered much attention for their affectionate father-son relationship on the MBC variety show "Dad! Where Are We Going?"
Yoon Min-soo has been active as a member of the groups 4Men and Vibe, producing hit songs such as "That Man, That Woman" and "Drunk."
