SEOUL, July 31 (Yonhap) -- Indie pop act 10CM has returned with a new album that captures the emotions woven into everyday moments, likening their latest work to “convenience store music” — always nearby and easy to reach.

According to their agency C.A.M on Thursday, 10CM released their fifth full-length album "5.0" on various music platforms the previous day. This marks their first studio album in 7 years and 11 months.

Built around the theme of “music like a convenience store,” 5.0 is designed to reflect the small but poignant episodes of daily life and the feelings they inspire. The album cover — featuring a slice of lemon cake — symbolizes the idea that even simple sweetness can bring happiness to one’s routine.

The 12-track album includes the title track Love Is Six Strings, the pre-release collaboration Dance with artist BIBI, and Monday Is Coming, which humorously portrays the dread of an approaching Monday.

The lead single Love Is Six Strings uses rock-infused sounds to express a heartfelt confession delivered through a six-string guitar, culminating in a sense of emptiness that follows love.

Alongside the album release, 10CM unveiled the music video for the title track, with a full-length, 47-minute video encompassing all the songs from the album set to drop on August 1.

To celebrate the album, 10CM will also hold a solo concert titled 5.0 at the Olympic Park Handball Gymnasium in Seoul on August 9 and 10, where they will perform their latest songs live.
