SEOUL, June 13 (Yonhap) -- BTS' leader RM expressed his motivation for returning after completing military service, saying, “We’ll really try to do even better," in celebration of the 12th anniversary of the group's debut on Friday,
Posting on the fan platform Weverse, RM wrote, “Once again, I’m going to go somewhere—though I’m not sure where yet,” adding, “I just want to walk this path together, romantically.”
He continued, “I want to push through all those overgrown fields and embark on an adventure like Huckleberry Finn toward tomorrow again,” and expressed gratitude to fans: “At every daunting crossroads, I endured and pushed forward thanks to you. I’m truly thankful.”
RM emphasized again, “We’ll really try to do even better. Thank you for giving us this opportunity.”

During a Weverse live broadcast on the night of his discharge (June 10), he had also said, “I believe what makes our team special hasn’t come to an end,” adding, “When we return, we need to move beyond what we did before and evolve. I don’t know how long it will take, but we have to deliver something great.”
He concluded, “I hope you look forward to it. I promise to repay your wait with something truly good.”
