Lee Byung-hun·Song Kang-ho·Lee Je-hoon donate 100 mln won to victims of east coast wildfires

SEOUL, Mar. 7 (Yonhap) – S. Korean actors Lee Byung-hun, Song Kang-ho, and Lee Je-hoon each donated 100 million won each to support victims of the east coast wildfires in Gangwon and North Gyeongsang Province.

Hope Bridge Association of the National Disaster Relief announced on Mar. 6 that Lee Byung-hun contributed 100 million won to support emergency relief for victims of massive wildfires.

According to the association, the actor decided to make donations after hearing the news that more than 150 houses were burned down in wildfires and that temporary residences were urgently needed for victims who evacuated to gyms and other places.

Song and Lee Je-hoon also delivered 100 million won to Hope Bridge Association of the National Disaster Relief, according to the agency.

Song mentioned, "I decided to make donations with the hope that this small offering can be of help to many victims of the wildfire.”

Lee said, "I hope that relief goods necessary for firefighters and victims suffering from the disaster will be provided promptly and sufficiently, and that fire extinguishing and damage recovery will take place as soon as possible."

S. Korean actress Hye-ri also donated 50 million won in support of the wildfire victims to Hope Bridge Association of the National Disaster Relief.

The donations will be used to construct temporary residences for victims, such as mobile homes.
