SM's UK Boy Band dearALICE to Debut Year-End with U.S. Label Gamma

SEOUL, Nov. 27 (Yonhap) -- SM Entertainment's first British boy band, dearALICE, is set to make its global debut this year-end, in collaboration with the U.S. music label Gamma.


SM Entertainment announced on Wednesday that its North American joint venture with Kakao Entertainment recently signed a strategic partnership with Gamma to support dearALICE's debut and future activities.


The group’s official debut single will be released globally later this year. The partnership agreement was finalized in Los Angeles with SM's Chief Global Business Officer Choi Jung-min, Kakao Entertainment Co-CEO Jang Yoon-jung, SM-Kakao North American COO Kevin Nishimura, Russ Lindsay of UK’s Moon&Back Media, Gamma CEO Larry Jackson, and Gamma's UK & Europe President Ben Cook in attendance.

All five members of dearALICE—Blaze Noon, Dexter Greenwood, James Sharp, Oliver Quinn, and Rhys Carter—were also present.


The collaboration spans every aspect of dearALICE's debut, including album production, distribution, marketing, and brand partnerships, aiming to establish the group across North America, Europe, and Asia. The partnership will continue to support the growth of the members even after their debut.


SM stated, "Through this partnership, we will provide dearALICE with opportunities to perform diverse musical activities on the global stage, fostering their growth into a global artist."


Larry Jackson, CEO of Gamma, expressed enthusiasm for the collaboration, saying, "Through dearALICE, Gamma has the opportunity to work closely with SM and Kakao Entertainment, learning from Korea's rich music and cultural heritage. Look forward to more news about dearALICE in 2025."
