SBS announced on September 21 that the drama "The Demon" will star actors Kim Tae-ri, Oh Jung-se, and Hongkyung.
Drama "The Demon" is an occult mystery thriller depicting the story of a female character possessed by a demon living in a world where there is a demon when the door is opened and a male character who can see a demon, looking for the truth behind the death with five mysterious body parts.
Kim Tae-ri will be playing Gu San-young, who has a part-time job during the day and studies at night to become a ninth grade civil servant since several years ago. After receiving the estate of her deceased father, she becomes embroiled in the mysterious deaths that occur around her, and little by little, she changes into a different form.
Oh Jung-se will be playing Yeom Hae-sang, a professor in the Department of Folklore who is from a wealthy family, He gets to know Gu San-young through an unexpected occasion and meets the demon who killed his mom in front of him when he was a child.
Hongkyung will be playing Lee Hong-sae, a police officer working at the police department that deals with violent crimes and who graduated from Police University.
