SEOUL, Jan. 31 (Yonhap) -- The '32ND HANTEO MUSIC AWARDS 2024' (hereafter '32ND HMA 2024') has unveiled the first lineup for its pre-event, the 'HANTEO MUSIC ADVENTURE NIGHT PARTY.'
Hanteo Global, the organizer of '32ND HMA 2024,' announced on Friday the first round of performers for the first-ever pre-event of a K-pop awards ceremony.
According to the announcement, Kim Jaejoong, EPEX, 8TURN, and SAY MY NAME have been confirmed to perform at the event, marking their participation in the "first-ever pre-event of a K-pop awards ceremony."
EPEX has been highly active in 2024, releasing two full-length albums within the year—Youth Part 1: Youth Days in April and Youth Part 2: Youth Deficiency in November. Both albums sold over 230,000 copies each, demonstrating strong commercial success. Notably, Youth Part 2: Youth Deficiency was recognized by international media as one of the "Best K-pop Albums of 2024," further solidifying EPEX's global presence.
8TURN, an eight-member boy group that debuted in January 2023, won the Blooming Performance Award at the '31ST HMA 2023' and participated in Mnet’s Road to Kingdom: ACE OF ACE. The group has continued to be active, releasing digital singles such as You Are My Reason and If This Is How It Is, Then in the Next Life.
SAY MY NAME, a rookie group that debuted in October 2023 with their first EP SAY MY NAME, has been gaining attention both in Korea and internationally. The group, produced by singer-actor Kim Jaejoong, consists of seven multinational members, including Hitomi.
Kim Jaejoong, celebrating his 20th debut anniversary in 2024, has had an eventful year with the release of his fourth solo studio album FLOWER GARDEN, a solo Asia concert tour, a unit concert with JX, his role in the MBN drama Bad Memory Eraser, and the release of the digital single SEQUENCE #4. In 2025, he is set to continue his active career by performing alongside SAY MY NAME, the group he personally produced, at the HANTEO MUSIC ADVENTURE NIGHT PARTY.
With the inclusion of Kim Jaejoong, EPEX, 8TURN, and SAY MY NAME in the first lineup, anticipation for the HANTEO MUSIC ADVENTURE NIGHT PARTY has grown. The event, the first-ever pre-party for a K-pop awards ceremony, will take place on February 14 at Lotte World Adventure in Songpa-gu, Seoul. The night will feature live performances by K-pop artists and an EDM party with top DJs.
Additionally, exclusive on-site events will be held, with prizes including invitations to HMA 2024 and rewards worth approximately 50 million won. To accommodate the event, Lotte World’s operating hours on February 14 will be extended from 11 PM to 5 AM on February 15, with over 12 attractions remaining open.
Tickets for the HANTEO MUSIC ADVENTURE NIGHT PARTY will be available in two categories: a General Admission Pass and a Garden Stage Performance Ticket Package. Ticket sales will begin at noon on January 31 through BRMUD and BIGC. Meanwhile, 32ND HMA 2024 will take place on February 15 and 16 at Jangchung Arena in Seoul. The first batch of performing artists includes MC Jin-young, (G)I-DLE’s Miyeon, ARTMS, EPEX, Heo Yong-byeol (Heo Gak, Shin Yong-jae, Lim Han-byeol), Lee Mu-jin, LIGHTSUM, NCT WISH, NOWADAYS, RIIZE, SAY MY NAME, tripleS, Choi Ye-na, and Young Tak.
In conjunction with the event, several corporate sponsors have launched invitation giveaways, and since January 24, the Hanteo Sanghoe pop-up store has been operating at Who’s Fan Café in Myeong-dong. The pop-up store offers interactive experiences and giveaway events, where visitors can win invitations to 32ND HMA 2024, passes to HANTEO MUSIC ADVENTURE NIGHT PARTY, and more.
