SEOUL, Nov. 1 7(Yonhap) -- K-pop groups incluidng IVE and Le Sserafim will appear at Japanese year-end music program NHK "Kohaku Uta Gassen."

According to official social media of NHK "Kohaku Uta Gassen," For female's team, Girl group TWICE along with IVE and Le Sserfaim was on the list. JYP Entertainment's Japanese girl group NiziU also made the list.

The program, which celebrates its 73rd anniversary this year, has a long history and tradition in the format of a song competition divided into Swan (male team) and Redjo (female team) on December 31 every year.

Just being on this show itself is considered as being recognized as top singers in the Japanese music market.

This is Twice's fourth appearance, Niju's third appearance, and first for Ive and Le Sserafim.

Ive had released only one single in Japan, and Le Sserafim has not even released one. Yet they were invited, proving their global popularity.

However, these groups are already well-known in Japan since there are members from IZ*ONE who had great popularity in Japan: Jang Won-young,An Yu-jin, Sakura, and Kim Chae-won.
