SEOUL April 27 (Yonhap) -- Global phenomenon BTS’ member Suga’s solo album “D-Day” has successfully topped Japanese Oricon chart within the segment of Weekly digital chart, addressed Suga’s entertainment agency BIGHIT Music on Thursday.
According to the list released by Oricon Chart, Suga’s solo album “D-Day” released under his pen-name “August D” has recorded over 54 hundred download rates throughout the week which has led him to top the weekly digital album rankings.
“D-Day” has also set a record of selling out over 110 thousand copies right after its release which has placed the album on top of the segment of daily.
Album “D-Day” is Suga’s first musical advancement in three years since his release of mix-tape “D-2” on May of 2020 under his pen-name August D. This would be the finale of the three part series which started off from the album “August D” released in 2016.
Artist Suga has participated in the lyric making, composition, and producing of all the tracks included within the album and various artists such as IU, j-hope, Ryuichi Sakamoto and more has participated within the album.
