SEOUL, Dec. 12 (Yonhap) -- JTBC announced on Tuesday that singer and actor Lee Seung-ki will host the global idol survival program "Peak Time."

"Peak Time" is a survival program in which idols who have already made their debut compete for the position of "Worldwide Idol."

The chief producer (CP), Yoon Hyun-joon, who created the music contest program "Sing Again," planned. Lee Seung-gi was also an MC of "Sing Again."

The staff said, "Lee Seung-ki showed a sense of empathy for the situation and was sensible in 'Sing Again,'" adding, "He also has unique muscality, the best MC to represent the hearts of participants."
