
Growing Chinese cabbage on mountainside
Farmers work to spray nutrients onto Chinese cabbages on a mountainside in the city of Gangneung on South Korea's east coast on Aug. 22, 2023, ahead of their shipment. The elevated, cool area, located 1,100 meters above sea level, is famous for high-quality Chinese cabbage, or "baechu" in Korean. Baechu is one of the main ingredients in making kimchi, a traditional Korean dish made from pickled baechu with spicy seasoning. (Yonhap)
