(LEAD) N.K. envoy calls Russia's use of Pyongyang missiles 'groundless accusation'
SEOUL -- North Korea's ambassador to the United Nations has dismissed the claim that Russia launched North Korean missiles into Ukraine in its war against the country as a "groundless accusation," Pyongyang's state media said Friday.
Ambassador Kim Song made the remarks in a statement carried by the North's official Korean Central News Agency after members of the United Nations Security Council (UNSC) condemned the arms transfers between the North and Russia as a violation of multiple UNSC resolutions in a session on Wednesday.

Websites of N. Korean propaganda outlets inaccessible for 2nd straight day
SEOUL -- Websites of major North Korean propaganda media outlets targeting South Korea were inaccessible for the second straight day Friday morning for an unknown reason.
As of 10:20 a.m., there were failures in connecting to the North's main propaganda site Uriminzokkiri and other similar media outlets, such as DPRK Today and Ryomyong. The servers of those sites are mainly based in China.

(2nd LD) N.K. leader says he has 'no intention of avoiding war' with S. Korea
SEOUL -- North Korean leader Kim Jong-un called South Korea the country's "principal enemy" and said he has "no intention of avoiding war," state media said Wednesday.
Kim also threatened to annihilate the South if it attempts to use force against the North, as he inspected major munitions factories Monday and Tuesday, the North's official Korean Central News Agency (KCNA) said.

N. Korea makes no mention of leader's 40th birthday
SEOUL -- North Korean state media outlets remained silent on the presumed 40th birthday of their leader Kim Jong-un on Monday.
The Korean Central News Agency, Rodong Sinmun, Korean Central Television and Korean Central Broadcasting Station have yet to make any report on Kim's birthday.

(LEAD) N. Korean leader calls for increased poultry production amid food shortages
SEOUL -- North Korean leader Kim Jong-un has visited a newly built chicken factory and called for increasing poultry production for a "substantial change" in the people's standards of living, state media reported Monday.
Kim visited Kwangchon Chicken Farm in Hwangju County of North Hwanghae Province on Sunday, accompanied by his daughter, known as Ju-ae, according to the Korean Central News Agency (KCNA).

(4th LD) N. Korea fires artillery shots off western coast for 3rd day: S. Korean military
SEOUL -- North Korea fired some 90 artillery shots into waters off its western coast Sunday, South Korea's military said, the latest in a series of drills near the tensely guarded western border.
The Joint Chiefs of Staff (JCS) said it detected the artillery firings into the maritime buffer zone north of Northern Limit Line, the de-facto maritime border in the Yellow Sea, and South Korea's border island of Yeonpyeong from about 4 p.m. to 5:10 p.m.
