Springtime blessings

Calligraphers write springtime blessings in Chinese characters on sheets of paper at Daejeon Hyanggyo, an educational institute of the Joseon Dynasty (1392-1910), in the central city of Daejeon on Feb. 3, 2025, the day of "Ipchun," one of the 24 seasonal divisions of the calendar that marks the onset of spring. The banner on the front reads "Geonyang Dagyeong," meaning "With signs of a positive spirit, your family is full of happiness" and the other one at the rear reads "Ipchun Daegil," meaning "Good luck on Ipchun."
