Remains of Korean independence fighter laid to rest

The remains of Korean independence fighter Choi Jae-hyung and his wife, Elena Petrovna Choi, are interred at the National Cemetery in Seoul on Aug. 14, 2023, after they were repatriated to South Korea from Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan, on Aug. 8. The enshrining ceremony came one day ahead of the 78th anniversary of Korea's liberation from Japan's colonial rule. (Yonhap)
