
Kin of S. Korea's 1st president apologizes to pro-democracy fighters
Lee In-soo (C), the adopted son of South Korea's first president, Rhee Syng-man, pays tribute to pro-democracy fighters as he visits a monument bearing the portraits and names of those who were killed in a pro-democracy revolution, at the April 19th National Cemetery in Seoul on Sept. 1, 2023. Lee offered an apology to the victims of the April 19, 1960, students' movement against the autocratic rule of Rhee following the discovery of massive rigging of the presidential election.
