SEOUL, April 24 (Yonhap) -- Former women's professional golf champion Pak Se-ri, who has recently been appearing in various entertainment shows, was confirmed to be infected with Covid-19.
Pak Se-ri told Yonhap News on the 24th, "The actor who worked with me on the 21st was informed that she had been confirmed to be tested positive for Covid-19 on the 23rd, so I immediately voluntarily tested and tested positive this morning."
Earlier on the 21st, Pak Se-ri had closed a contact with musical actor Son Joon-ho, who appeared as a guest on Naver Now's "Serizabeth." Son Joon-ho was confirmed to be positive the previous day.
Pak Se-ri said, "I will begin quarantine according to the quarantine authorities' guidelines, and all staff who had overlapping movements or had contact will be inspected immediately or quickly."
Both her agency's manager and employees were tested negative, but they decided to self-isolate themselves and suspend all schedules in case of any possible circumstances.
Pak Se-ri added, "I ask for your understanding that I have caused you concern, and I will come back in good health."
Pak Se-ri is currently appearing on E-channel entertainment shows "Playing Sister" and YouTube, but the 'positive' results of COVID-19 is expected to disrupt these broadcasts.
Meanwhile, musical actor and singer Kim Junsu, who co-starred in the musical "Dracula" with Son Joon-ho and was also a guest in "Serizabeth," was tested negative earlier in the day.
However, Kim Jun-su has been classified as a close contact with Son Joon-ho and has started self-isolation and will suspend all schedules until noon on May 5, his agency C-JeS Entertainment said.
Shin Sung-rok, who stars in "Dracula," has also been tested negative and is in self-isolation.
Actors, staff, and orchestras of the musical "Phantom," starring Son Jun-ho's spouse Kim So-hyun, were all tested negative, but Kim So-hyun and Jeong Dong-seok were classified as close contacts and will not participate in the performance for the next two weeks.
Actor Min Woo-hyuk, who is starring in the musical "Gwangju," has been also tested negative after contacting a positive confirmed person.
