The Samsung Electronics flag flutters at the tech firm's head office in Seoul on Oct. 11, 2023. The chipmaker's third-quarter earnings guidance projected an operating profit of 2.4 trillion won (US$1.8 billion), down 77.9 percent from a year ago but up 258 percent on-quarter. (Yonhap)
