Song Young-gil, former head of South Korea's main opposition Democratic Party (DP), answers reporters' questions upon arrival at Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport in Paris on April 23, 2023, to return home to undergo a prosecution probe. Currently staying in France as a visiting research professor at the ESCP Business School in Paris, Song is suspected of having doled out money to dozens of DP lawmakers and representatives ahead of an election for a new DP leader in May 2021. Song, who was a candidate in the race, won the election by a slim margin. (Yonhap)
