São Paulo, May 6 (Yonhap) -- The Korean Cultural Center in Brazil will screen Korean films from the 8th (KST) to maintain Brazilian society's high interest in Korean films brought by "Parasite" and "Minari."
On the first day, the film "Salut D'Amour," starring Youn Yuh-jung, will be screened to commemorate her winning the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress and the release of "Minari" in Brazil.
On the 22nd, "A Werewolf Boy," starring actor Song Joong-ki, who has recently made headlines for his appearance in "Vincenzo," will be presented.
Korean films will run from 4 p.m. on the second and fourth Saturday of every month until December at the first floor of the Culture Square, and the number of viewers will be limited to 30 according to health authorities' guidelines.
The release of these films are expected to raise anticipation from movie fans who have not been frequently exposed to Korean films as they will showcase a variety of Korean films with Portuguese subtitles.
The cultural center held the 9th Korean Film Festival in Brazil on December 4-13th last year, divided into online and offline, and screened six films each.
