SEOUL, June 6 (Yonhap) -- Bada and Wackxxi, winners of Mnet's "Street Woman Fighter" (SWF) Season 2, along with BabySleek and other top dancers, will be gathering in Gwangju.
According to Gwangju City on the 27th, the "2024 Gwangju Street Culture Festa" will take place from June 6th to 9th at the National Asia Culture Center and the 5·18 Democracy Plaza in Gwangju. This festival, the largest of its kind in the country, will feature 1,240 professional street dancers and 40 dance teams, showcasing genres like hip-hop, waacking, locking, popping, open style, and performance.
Top-tier street dancers like Bada and Wackxxi will perform in the festival’s main event, "Battle Lineup 9," and will also serve as judges. Renowned international street dancers, including Henry Link and Mr. Wiggles, will also take the stage.
Special guest appearances will be made by Artistreet, Cosmic Diplo, Ambitious, and Mahwayon, offering a variety of performances.
The festival will also include K-POP dance experiences, a flea market, a photo zone for memorable shots, and Gwangju tourism promotion booths. Gwangju City has prepared travel packages for the estimated 10,000 tourists expected to visit during the festival.
The Street Culture Festa is jointly hosted by Gwangju City, Gwangju Dong-gu, the National Asia Culture Center, KBS Gwangju Broadcasting Station, Gwangju Tourism Organization, and Bitgoeul Dancers.
