Seoul, May 19 (Yonhap) -- Lizzy (real name Park Soo-young), an actress from the girl group After School, is under police investigation for allegedly causing a collision while driving under the influence of alcohol.
The agency Celltrion Entertainment said on the 19th that "We confirmed that Lizzy's drunk driving on the night of the 18th." "She feel heavy responsibility for the inexcusable wrong behavior."
"I also sincerely repent and reflect on myself," she added. "I deeply apologize for causing you concern about things that should not have happened."
The Gangnam Police Station in Seoul is investigating Lizzy on charges of drunk driving.
At 10:12 p.m. the previous day, she hit a taxi that was ahead near the intersection of Yeongdong Bridge in Cheongdam-dong, Gangnam-gu. A police officer who was dispatched after receiving a report tested her for drinking and found that her blood alcohol level was at the level of revocation of her license.
Lizzy was alone in the car at the time, and there were no passengers in the cab except the driver. Both were reported not to be injured.
Lizzy is said to have pleaded guilty and expressed remorse in a police investigation. Police are investigating the exact circumstances of the accident.
Lizzy debuted as an after school student in 2010 and has been acting under the name Park Soo-ah since 2018.
