Dodo bird artist Kim Sun-Woo donates 100 million won to World Wildlife Fund

SEOUL, Dec. 16 (Yonhap) -- Kim Sun-woo, an artist who draws Dodo birds, donated 100 million won to the World Wildlife Fund (WWF), from his charity auction, on Dec. 16.

Kim Sun-woo’s ‘Save the world’, was sold at 100 million dollars in the charity auction, hosted from Nov. 17~18 by Black Lot, according to Print Bakery an art brand of Seoul Auction.


The artist donated all the profits to WWF, and the donation will be used to preserve biodiversity and endangered species.

Kim, an artist who draws Dodo birds that went extinct on the island of Mauritius in the Indian Ocean, is gaining popularity among the younger generation.
