Q&A with IVE:
Q1. How do you guys feel coming back with your third single, "After Like," after releasing "Love Dive," in April?
An Yu-jin: I am quite nervous because we're coming back in four months, but at the same time, I was really excited and flattered to prepare for our comeback, and I really want to present our stage for "After like" as soon as possible. The fact that we'll be able to communicate and spend time with DIVE flatters me more than anything. I hope everyone loves our new album as well.
Jang Won-young: We've been thinking and preparing a lot so that we could show better stages to our fans as we've gotten so much love for "Eleven" and "Love Dive." I am so happy to know that we would be able to show "After Like," as the result. We will make our stage enjoyable for both IVE and DIVE, so please look forward to our comeback.
Q2. IVE have been showing IVE's different charm by releasing the IVE summer film, concept photos, and different trailers. What do you want to show during the promotion for this album?
An Yu-jin: While performing for our new album, we want to show people that we have different charms and also let people know our identity and our team color. And I think the beginning of that is our summer film.
Liz: "After Like" is a song about asking someone to show their love not by heart but by their behavior, and telling them that they will show diverse charm. That way, we have prepared to show our charm as well. If Z generation people could relate to our previous lyrics, I hope people of other generations will also relate to our lyrics for our new song.
Q3. Could you explain the new title song "After Like"?
An Yu-jin: After Like," is also about "self-love,"showing confidence and love, just like in our previous album. It's a song with a sophisticated rhythm based on deep house with a powerful hook and rap, so please look forward to it.
Jang Won-young: I am happy that we'll be able to show our confidence in our album "After Like," just like we did in "Love Dive." The message in "After Like" is to not forget your feelings and to be confident in your emotions.
Leeseo: I think you guys will be able to feel more refreshing vibes through our album "After like." We would like to show how cool we are and also please listen to our side track "My Satisfaction" as well!
Q4. Is there a killing part or point dance move that the members pick from the title song?
Rei: I think our fans would love to learn to do our "Yoohoo dance" in the chorus of the first verse and the "circle dance" in the chorus of the second verse.
Liz: I think the point dance of our title song would be the part where we make "LOVE" with our hand moves.
Q5. Is there anything IVE remember from filming the music video for "After Like"?
Gaeul: The last scene was very memorable. The scene was decorated like a firework festival. People who are part of the Yeouido fireworks festival came to set the venue. It is a such great scene that people who watch our video might think its CG, so please watch it.
Q6. Is there any goal IVE wants to achieve during this promotion period?
Leeseo: I hope people will say that all of IVE's songs are good without any doubt.
Liz: I hope it's an album and a promotion period in which DIVE can feel that every moment was successful.
Rei: I hope we can break our last record.
Q7. "Eleven" recorded a chart-in for 12 consecutive weeks, and "Love Dive" recorded a chart-in for 19 consecutive weeks on the U.S. Billboard chart, How do you feel about it?
Jang Won-young: I was touched and happy just to be on the chart, but I was surprised to know that our songs were on the chart for quite a long time. We couldn't have many opportunities to meet our fans overseas due to COVID-19 after our debut, but I am so amazed to know that many fans search for our songs, listen to them, and love them.
Gaeul: I was so surprised to know that our song was on the Billboard chart, but it felt like a dream when I realized that our song was on the chart for 19 consecutive weeks. I wish we could have a world tour so that we could meet our fans living overseas.
Q8. Lastly, please say a word to DIVE (fan club name) who waited for the comeback of 'After LIKE'.
An Yu-jin: I'd like to thank DIVE for always supporting IVE, and since we'll be able to meet DIVE through various activities, please show love and interest for songs including 'My Satisfaction' along with 'After LIKE.
Gaeul: I'm really happy to be able to go on stage while listening to the support of DIVE. As much as you guys always give us love and support, IVE will work harder and repay you all with a wonderful stage.
