SEOUL, Jan. 27 (Yonhap) -- SF9 members Hwi-young and Chani have violated the COVID-19 social distancing rules in Seoul at 1 a.m. on Jan. 18, due to a meeting with an acquaintance, according to FNC Entertainment, Thursday.

Hwi-young and Chani visited a Hold’em pub in Nonhyeon-dong after receiving a call from an acquaintance to celebrate Chani's birthday, and in the process, they were investigated for violating quarantine rules, FNC said.

The agency explained that it is clear the two members have been careless and their behavior is reprehensible. FNC further said the two are blaming themselves for causing concern not only to fans but also to the public, and deeply reflecting and regretting.

The entertainment also apologized deeply for its negligence in managing the artists, adding that they will thoroughly direct and come up with measures to prevent the same from happening again.
