SEOUL, Feb. 27 (Yonhap) -- CGV, the largest multiplex cinema chain in South Korea, will exclusively screen the live recording of the British hit musical ‘Anything Goes” next month, the cinema branch announced Monday.
The mega-hit musical tells the love story of a man who sneaks on a cruise heading to the city of London to chase after a girl whom he had fallen in love with at first sight.
CGV’s “Anything Goes: Live in London” will bring the live recording of a performance formerly held at London’s Barbican Theater in 2021 to the big screens. Kathleen Marshall, who won the honor of being named the Best Choreographer at the Laurence Olivier Awards last year, was in charge of directing the musical, along with Tony Awards winners Sutton Foster and Robert Lindsay appearing on the stage.
