SEOUL, March 25 (Yonhap) -- "Our strength and differentiation lie in the fact that we are 'overcommitted' at any moment. Our fans also appreciate that aspect." (Minju)

Hybe's rookie girl group ILLIT held their first mini-album showcase, "SUPER REAL ME," on the afternoon of the 25th in Yongsan-gu, Seoul, where they confidently expressed their debut impressions, saying, "We will be overcommitted on stage and show ourselves as we are offstage."

"We want to show on stage that we enjoy it like other seniors do," they emphasized, "and when members are together (the atmosphere) becomes bright, we want to become cheerful artists."

ILLIT is the third girl group launched by Hybe following LE SSERAFIM and NewJeans. They were formed through the girl group debut survival program 'Are You Next?' last year, consisting of five members: Yunah, Minju, Moka, Wonhee, and Iroha.

Member Wonhee said, "Our big goal is to be 1st on music shows with the title track 'Magnetic,'" adding, "Since it's our first title track after debut, it would be happy to achieve 1st place."

Moka mentioned, "Another big goal for us is the Rookie Award," explaining, "Because it's something you can only receive as a rookie."

The group name ILLIT combines 'I Will,' indicating autonomy and assertiveness, with the pronoun 'It,' which signifies something special.

Through their debut album, the five members conveyed an honest message: "My real story is soon to be the best story." They encapsulated the sentiments and confidence of contemporary girls.

The album includes four songs, including the title track 'Magnetic,' 'My World,' which embodies the team's identity, 'Midnight Fiction,' which sings about members' whimsical imaginations, and 'Lucky Girl Syndrome,' a dance-pop infused with ILLIT's positive energy.

'Magnetic' expresses feelings of being attracted to a beloved person as they are. Bang Si-hyuk, the chairman of Hybe, participated in the song's production, and teenage music producers such as Martin and James contributed to capturing the emotions of teenagers. The members present a performance that seems like the N-pole and S-pole of magnets attracting and repelling each other using their fingers.

The members conveyed that Bang Si-hyuk instructed them to "approach music with responsibility," and they introduced that Chairman Bang carefully monitored practice videos and provided feedback.

Wonhee shared, "During 'Are You Next?' I was not a trainee for long, so there were many awkward and embarrassing moments," adding, "After becoming a debut group and practicing with members for six months, our teamwork grew. I also learned how to practice and monitor myself, focusing on the details of practice."

He further added, "I gained confidence and wanted to show (the public) well, so I worked even harder."

"I'm so grateful to debut with these members. It's my first time, so I'm standing here with an excited heart. I'll show you the quirky and lively side of ILLIT." (Wonhee)
