SEOUL, June 15 (Yonhap) -- K-pop boy group CRAVITY has been appointed as “overseas promotional ambassadors of Korean culture,” according to Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism Korean Culture and Information Service (Koics) on Wednesday.
Starting with “Talk Talk Korea 2022,” CRAVITY will participate in various events held by Koics.
CRAVITY, which debuted in 2020, is receiving a lot of attention overseas as a fourth-generation idol and they recently finished performing in the U.S.
The leader Se-rim said, “We will strive to communicate with Hallyu fans worldwide and spread the charm of Korean culture to make it more beloved by people around the world."
The "global contest for Korea-related content" the ninth of its kind this year, will be held until October 31 for foreigners regardless of their residency.
Seven minor themes will exist within the main theme “What I ‘LOVE’ about Korea.”
From individual themes, a total of 140 works will be awarded accordingly from the first place to the fifth, an announcement regarding the award will be made in December.
The first prize winner of each theme will be given an opportunity to visit South Korea for four nights and five days, and other winners will also be given rewards, such as smartphones and tablet PCs.
