SEOUL, July 25 (Yonhap) -- Singer-songwriter Yu Seung-woo is set to release his sixth mini album, "Playlist."
Scheduled for release at 6 PM on the 25th, "Playlist" marks Yu Seung-woo's return with a new mini album after three years. The album has garnered significant attention even before its release, as renowned producer Yoon Sang participated in its production. The album features a total of four songs, all written and composed by Yu Seung-woo.
The mini album "Playlist" includes the title track "Playlist," the ballad "In the Mood" featuring singer-songwriter CHEEZE, the deep urban R&B track "How About You," and "As Much as the Love We Shared," recorded in one take with Yu Seung-woo playing the guitar. The album offers a variety of sounds, from acoustic pop to folk, capturing the essence of Yu Seung-woo's musical expression.
Yu Seung-woo shared his thoughts on the album, stating, "'Playlist' is an album created with the hope that listeners will indulge in each track and follow their changing emotions." He added, "The album focuses on the emotions of one person, and I hope it resonates comfortably with listeners' hearts and becomes a part of their daily lives."
With the release of "Playlist," Yu Seung-woo will begin his promotional activities with a live performance. He will debut his new songs at the "Live Club Day" event in Hongdae on the 26th, officially starting the "Playlist" campaign. Following this, he plans to actively engage with fans through music shows and various other performances.
